We needed a way to bring new educational content to our audience. We use GoTo to host a monthly, a bi-monthly, and occasional paid commercial webinars. We initially charged non-members to view the webinars but the exposure to a larger audience during COVID made us change these to free for anyone. In addition to the live webinars, we also keep the recordings in a library for users to view later.
  • The webinars are easy to set up and schedule
  • Admin controls during the webinar are easy to use and pretty self-explanatory
  • Automatic recordings are great.
  • Attendee/registration reports are helpful
  • You can't blur your background when using a webcam. Zoom has been doing this forever and this seems like a pretty big omission.
  • Invited panelists can't test their screenshare/audio/video on their own so we have to schedule sessions to do this.
  • We have a lot of repeat speakers/panelists, not having the ability to save their information for easy access can be a pain.
  • You can't add hyperlinks or attach files to the automated attendee/registrant emails.
  • You only get one login per license and cannot substitute emails. This is a real pain if the licensed person needs someone else to run a webinar every now and then because only the licensed person receives the backup panelist invites. Even being able to add a cced individual to those emailed invites would be a big help.
GoTo Webinar is very well suited for our purposes. Our webinars consist of a panelists and at least one moderator and a Q&A session at the end. Panelists are able to use the screen share feature to run their own slideshows and the moderator can review questions that are typed in by the audience. We rarely have issues with performance and if these is an issue it's usually on the user side. We can also add our own custom questions to the registration page so that we can collect additional info from the audience. Post session emails can be scheduled to target attendees and people that registered but didn't attend. You can set these emails to include a recording of the session as well.

A downside is that you cannot embed links or attach files to those emails. We send out disclosure/conflict of interest statements to all attendees prior to the sessions starting and being able to include those as attachments in the reminder emails would be great. You cannot blur your webcam background. Almost all of our panelists want that option and they usually say "Zoom can do it" when I say it's unavailable.

We have client who is in educational verticals. Where they use on- demand webinars regular basis . They have Students who need to fill customize registration forms, so they get alert before the webinar. GoTo Webinar best suited their environment, because its facilitates hosting on-line events. The platform language options like French, English and other languages it can be access from any device.
  • Customize registrations pages
  • Live answers notifications
  • Call-to -action button
  • SAML SSO integration is missing which to use single password to access multiple applications.
  • Question Upvotes is missing where we wants to know rationality of any questions asked in on live webinar .
  • Emoji reaction-which is basic features now days.
Go To Webinar is well know for user engagement and have features like Surveys, Polls and real-time engagement dashboard. Go To Webinar have good analytics tools.
However they are they missing in SSO features which is ease of use feature , required to access multiple applications' with single password and also helped in API integration.

I've been using GoTo Webinar for 4+ Years. Firstly it was for when we were selling Online Courses (in a previous organization), and now the high ticket offers. GoTo Webinar helps in making organizing webinars simpler and helps us convert a larger audience at the same time.
  • GoTo Webinar integrates well with the tools like LeadPages, Zapier, etc., so you can have your own style of landing page for improving initial webinar opt-ins
  • Polls and Questions is my favorite feature in the tool, as it helps in building engagement with the audience
  • GoTo Webinar stores the session recordings on its server, which you can download whenever you want.
  • Their pricing plans, most of its competitors else provide a Free Tier in their plans
From my experience, GoTo Webinar is best suited for selling products anywhere from 97 USD to 5000 USD (based on your Webinar Experience), specifically for Information Technology Products and SaaS Products. I don't mean to say that it doesn't work for other industries. The main thing would be to create the right offer.

This software was used in a prototype situation when reviewing the best way to use a webinar related piece of software. While it was used my experience with it was early and good but it showed promise and have seen and interacted with it many times since. GoTo Webinar was used for the purpose of hosting a company wide GDC like event in which it was a platform for people to tune in and be exposed to a variety of teams and the information they where willing to share. In a company with thousands of employees it is vital to information share and GoTo Webinar created this opportunity. On demand video was a necessity and it delivered
  • Ability to handle poll interaction
  • Emailing automation
  • Robust Analytics
  • Audio quality could be better overall, Cut offs and stable audio connections arent as good as you would want it to be
  • Documentation for GoTo Webinar Api is not up to user friendly standards
  • Registration page lacks a robust customization
The GoTo Webinar software/ api is generally good for communication ,upskill and knowledge sharing. The covid period was a good example of how effective a software such as this can be. Allowed multiple uses of comms for webinars with a live chat feature and easy joining security with a simple code. Can launch in browser as well Analytics and reporting wanted by management is robust and as such is very welcomed

We used GoTo Webinars for training, webinars, virtual roundtables, etc. This platform became especially beneficial during COVID as most executives and customers were remote and we could no longer host in-person events or travel to our customers' offices for in-person training. This also allowed one platform for a global team. We had employees in APAC, EMEA, and North and South America.
  • Integration into Hubspot and SFDC for seamless tracking
  • Easy to use back end for event hosts, speakers, etc
  • Global reach for teams across different countries and time zones
  • Ease of use for executives in the financial sectors whose security walls block other vendors like Zoom and Teams
  • The ability to customize and brand the registration page more
  • The ability to customize and brand the actual virtual event environment while the webinar is occurring
  • Ability to customize registration confirmation and event reminder emails
Well suited for a team that wants a straightforward easy-to-use online webinar platform. You can host as many webinars as you would like as long as they do not overlap. Not well suited for a company that was streamlined, and branded UX experience from beginning to end. The capabilities are pretty standard for GoTo Webinar, especially for the registration page.

Use it to integrate with HubSpot and our marketing automation. It helps us streamline our webinars and demos for prospect and partner education. It helps us mitigate any technical risks and also provides best of breed functionality with surveys and polls. The simulated live functionality is great when trying to scale the number of webinars to complete.
  • Integration with HubSpot
  • Account manager support
  • New features constantly added
  • Video editing functionality
  • Ability to edit landing pages
  • Live video options
Well suited for live sessions and recorded webinars. Not well suited for customized landing pages where you are wanting to use WordPress or HubSpot. A little challenging to register contacts manually for webinars. Some formatting does not duplicate if you are trying to replicate webinars on a mass scale. Would be nice if email notifications would show specific questions asked during webinar rather than in CSV export.

I use GoTo Webinar with clients who are looking to generate warm to hot leads for their product/solutions. Webinars and demos are key, especially for my SaaS clients, and GoTo Webinar provides a very intuitive and familiar interface for our hosts, cohosts, and guests. It typically only takes us 2 to 5 minutes to set everything up, from basic information to the registration page. Occasionally a client demands to use a different solution, but they always come to regret it in the end, switching back to GoTo Webinar.
  • Webinars
  • Landing Pages
  • Customer Support
  • Webinar Recording
  • The Channel Interface isn't as intuitive in my opinion.
GoTo Webinar is a great tool for generating leads, keeping attendees engaged, and creating trust between hosts and attendees. We love the flexibility where we can use the GoTo Webinar landing page and reminder/confirmation emails or use integration with email or marketing automation software for similar purposes.

We host monthly webinars with GoTo Webinar to raise brand awareness and generate leads. We typically host webinars with multiple speakers who work for various organizations, most of whom are familiar with GoTo Webinar.
  • Hubspot integration.
  • Logging in as a presenter.
  • Scheduling webinars.
  • Landing pages are poorly designed.
  • Emails aren’t customizable enough.
  • Wish it was easier to adjust settings on how attendees communicate during presentations.
GoTo Webinar is extremely easy to use and great if you’re hosting simple webinars that don’t have more than 100 attendees. If you’d like to have well-designed landing pages and emails, you’ll have to integrate them with another tool, like HubSpot. The support is lacking and some of the settings when an event is live aren’t straightforward.

We used GoToWebinar to conduct industry webinars for lead generation and branding, customer/partner workshops for revenue generation and internal company townhall as well as employee discussions. We used both types of meetings- live sessions as well as recorded webcasts and on-demand video streaming modes for creating meaningful content experience and interaction with our brand.
  • The platform user experience is very seamless
  • The webinar use case is covered extensively with features that covers the entire lifecycle: registation generation, nurturing registrants, live session, attendee management, session experience, follow ups and insights
  • Webinar Analytics is near instant and exhaustive- date/ time stamps and every user behaviour is tracked
  • Integrations with CRMs and marketing automation are limited.
  • There is severe limitations with design and customisation of webinar registration landing page
  • The web experience on mobile is not seamless, you need to install mobile app
GoToWebinar is very well suited to do large scale webinars where you want to share documents, build interactions with participants through QnA and polls, and drive overall event registrations, attendance and follow ups using one single/unified Webinar platform. It is suited for any webinar with audience size varying from 10-1000 attendees.

GoTo Webinar is being used as an essential tool in the last 4 years for the company. We use it for all departments and [it has] helped us to create more engagement with our clients and stakeholders. We are using it to do live and recorded webinars. We are able to reach more audiences than ever imagined. And the tool is very very very easy to use. Very friendly. Anyone that can join a Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Webex call can do a live webinar with GoTo Webinar. And there are options to do [a] recorded webinar. You can [also] do [an] OnDemand webinar. You can have a gallery of webinars so your customers can see all webinars that you have done.
  • Live webinars
  • OnDemand webinars
  • Webinars gallery
  • Easy to use
  • Analytics for webinars
  • DIY webinars
  • Recorded webinars
  • Simu-Live webinars
  • 1080P streaming quality.
  • Better image for webcam in the webinar.
  • Not need to download application.
  • Browser friendly.
  • Smartphone friendly.
GoTo Webinar is a very easy-to-use platform, for live/on-demand/simu-live webinars. [It is] well suited for company events, lead generation events, end marketing events, selling events, people who want to sell an online web product, teachers, schools, language schools. Training: for company, for per to per training. [It's also good for] church events, all kinds of online events that you want to have information from the audience. But, GoTo Webinar is it is less appropriate for high-quality videos and streaming. (That's the only coin that it has)

We've used GoTo Webinar for a number of years to help us with our webinar needs. We've run everything from small, 20 person internal team webinars, to upwards of 1,000 people on the webinar for free events and even run paid webinars through the GoTo Webinar platform for our clients. We're able to record everything and use it again in the future.
  • Registration form.
  • Integration with Pardot.
  • Technical and day-of support.
  • Pardot integration can be difficult to set up initially.
  • Higher limits for webinar attendance.
  • More customization of the landing pages.
External webinars are great to run through GoTo Webinar. We've done it a few times for internal webinars but without being able to have people ask questions through voice makes things difficult. Anytime you want to stick with Q&A through the chat function, using GoTo Webinar is perfect to present to large groups of people remotely.

We use it for all our demand generation webinars with our customers and prospects. It's only used in our marketing department at this time. Outside of demand generation webinars, during COVID we also used it for our virtual events and hosted a few networking events on it as well. In the future, we are considering using it outside of demand generation webinars now that we have seen success in other avenues.
  • User-friendly setup
  • Automatic feature to record
  • Seamless polling setup and execution
  • Look and feel could be updated
  • Faster record to download speed post webinar
  • Be able to personalize the landing page more
It's best for demand generation webinars, in my opinion. It allows for many attendees to be able to easily join. I also love the integration with Marketo, as it makes it 10 times easier to set up, promote, and track all through the seamless sync between the two platforms. One area where it doesn't make sense to use is general meetings; I believe Zoom or GoogleMeet are better suited for that.

We use GoToWebinar for our clients and our prospects. For clients, we use it to share software release announcements and to gauge feedback and answer questions, and for prospects, we use it to showcase our product, thought leadership topics, and other various ways to communicate with a larger, more diverse audience.
  • Q&A Management--helps with our release announcements
  • Digital Recordings--allows those who attended or miss a webinar to receive it, without needing to send an actual copy of the file
  • Reporting--there are many reports and data access points
  • Tech Support--GoToWebinar has a good email tech support; however, when something goes wrong on a webinar, there isn't really a great 911 solution.
  • Consistency of Service--many times our service will drop audio, video, screen recording, etc. It seems to be after the 1-hour mark. Internet remains for all hosts and panelists, but it just seems to struggle.
  • Stronger HubSpot integration, being able to build the landing page and webforms in HubSpot to capture attendees is wonderful, and being able to capture contacts is also helpful. However, it would be great to connect some analytics to HubSpot--such as getting a list of contacts who attended webinar XYZ, or those who asked questions, what questions did they ask. If someone signed to watch the recording at a later date, allow that contact to pass to HubSpot.
GoToWebinar works well if you already have HubSpot and you want to build custom landing pages/webforms instead of using every webinar provider's stock pages. It also works well as a relatively robust platform. If you are looking for 100% consistency and guarantee that it will be reliable in all circumstances, then I would look at another provider. Like I mentioned previously, we host multiple 1+ hour webinars and are often confronted with technical issues.

I moderate webinars for a large client with multiple GoToWebinar licenses supporting various departments and regions. We use GoToWebinar for sales, support, education, and marketing sessions, with anywhere from five people to 800 in attendance. GoToWebinar provides registration page/registration management tools, specific roles for presenters/organizers/attendees, widgets for surveys, polls and certificates, and back-end file management, attendee reporting, and analytics. All of those capabilities represent the "next level up" from a regular meeting tool and are necessary when using webinars as part of the sales and marketing funnel.
  • Registration page templates/page creation and attendee registration management--must have for event management
  • Data association--attendee information is paired with poll, question, and survey responses, assisting followup
  • The interest rating score is a good level set for how engaged your participants really were
  • Works across platforms and browsers
  • GoToWebinar becomes very glitchy when the presenter uses multiple monitors--something which most presenters need to do. It becomes very difficult to force the correct window to share, and even with notifications turned off, other desktop activities interfere with the screen share
  • Audio and video transmission also become glitchy when enough audience members join the session. While rated for 1,000 people, we experience "bandwidth" issues when attendee volumes exceed 400
  • Integrating translation tools has been difficult, which makes it difficult to present to more than one language group at a time
  • Presenters are often unable to see their own webcam feed, which is disconcerting for many
  • No digital backgrounds, which many presenters want to use
  • Presenters are unable to see the polls when they are presented to the audience and cannot see the results share unless they have "audience view" enabled
  • Other glitches come and go, making it difficult to depend on the tool's performance
  • No breakout rooms--limits the use beyond a one-and-done session
For managing audiences up to 300 people in a straightforward register-present-record-report environment, GoToWebinar does a decent job. I would rate it higher if the glitch rate went down and it could handle usage of multiple monitors by presenters. It is less well suited for large audiences or situations requiring strong interaction and engagement or a non-linear flow or multi-lingual sessions.

It is used to host our sales webinars. Our team is small so you could say it's used by the entire company.
  • Easy to use out of the box
  • Templated emails for registrants
  • I'm not able to fully customize the landing page.
  • Price restrictive if you need more than 100 or 500 attendees on the call.
We have sales demos/presentations for two to 4 people at times. GoToWebinar excels here. You could have 2 to 3 hosts/moderators who speak while having the rest of your audience passively listening.

GoToWebinar is currently being used by our marketing department to record webinars relating to our business. Each week, we have an employee of our company put together a 30 minute - 1 hour presentation discussing a topic related to the work they do. These webinars are usually anything from Marketing tips to Google updates for the new year.
  • The quality and clarity of the recordings in GoToWebinar are good. Clients tend to like the sound and visual when they receive the link to watch.
  • GoToWebinar is also really quick with saving and providing a link to watch the webinar almost immediately once the recording is finished. This is great because we are able to quickly push the content out to the rest of the company and our clients.
  • Another thing we enjoy about GoToWebinar is the overall layout of the toolbar during a recording. It is easy to maneuver and even a first time person recording content is able to quickly learn the functions without having to completely walk through it with someone more experienced.
  • An area that could improve is the comment section during a recording. The notifications of a question and/or comment are not alarming enough to the person recording. It's common for the person recording not to see a question and that poses a problem when a client has an important question but it isn't answered simply because the presenter didn't see it.
  • Another area GoToWebinar could improve on is the insights section. We could benefit from getting better detailed insights into each webinar. Detailed analytics are helpful to plan future webinars and to learn who to target, etc.
  • The last thing GoToWebinar could improve on is allowing for users to customize their webinar pages. Allowing to customize would create a better experience for the user. Also, customization would allow for better creativity.
GoToWebinar is perfect for businesses who have teachable content. Marketing firms, Real Estate, Education focused businesses, etc. would benefit from using GoToWebinar. Any type of work that people enjoy learning about. It would also be great for college professors to use for online classes. It isn't really suited for a personal use. I would only recommend it to those who work in a corporate setting or in education.

We use GoToWebinar for us and our clients to manage webinars and private classes. It's mostly used by our marketing team, but our clients had success using the tool among their sales team, as a way to do the group demos. It's an easy way to set up and run webinars, even if you don't have any technical knowledge.
  • It makes setting the webinars very easy.
  • It has well-designed landing pages (registration page) templates, so you don't need design help.
  • It saves time on the setup and the tool learning, as it's pretty straightforward.
  • It'd be great to include easy ways to evergreen webinars.
  • Doing video camera on the webinar sometimes caused the image to be blurry or for the whole webinar to glitch.
It's a great tool to run your webinars. It integrates well with almost all CRMs and email automation tools. It's pretty easy to use and the learning curve is short. You won't need any specific design or coding skills to set it up, as they provide numerous templates for registration pages. They also include automated (templated) email notifications which can help you save time!

As webinars are a significant part of our content and lead generation strategy GoToWebinar covers our need for a reliable, easy-to-use webinar platform. It is managed and used by the marketing team, as well as our company speakers and guest speakers. Webinars are also a great tool for establishing or developing partnerships.
  • Easy webinar set-up
  • Cost-effective solution for our needs
  • Automated follow-up options
  • Registrants Source tracking
  • Audience engagement options - surveys and polls
  • More options for branding/customising the webinar registration page
  • Sometimes the requirement to install a software comes unhandy for some of our speakers
GoToWebinar is great for connecting with our clients and presenting them our knowledge and insights. Still, what we miss a bit is the level of engagement that we have with the audience during the webinar and the ability to go "social" directly from the platform (e.g. integration with our Twitter account). Still, polls, surveys, and handouts give great options to engage with the audience and we find these very helpful.

It is being used by different departments depending on their needs - not necessarily across the whole organization. It addresses the business problem of having some employees who work remotely from home or client sites while others are in the office. It allows everyone to connect and see the material first hand instead of through hearsay and notes.
  • It is a great way for employees and leadership to connect over a distance and keeps everyone on the same page.
  • Their support is helpful and follows up after a trial and to answer any questions.
  • You are able to host large scale conferences.
  • Each person must download the software before they are able to use it.
  • You cannot use it from your cell phone or tablet which makes it a little bit more difficult to use when you are on the go.
A specific scenario where it would be useful is when you are trying to hold a department or company-wide meeting and need to have access to both remote and in-house employees. Also, it is the most useful when all of the employees, if remote, are able to access a computer and a quiet workspace in which they can hear and follow along.

It might be less appropriate to use it for employees who are on the go from one place to another as you would need internet access and a computer.

I use GoToWebinar to assist us in training our agent base on new products and provide interaction with our agent base. Various departments have their own GoToWebinar accounts and use them for various internal and external trainings. It allows us to have meetings/webinars with our full agent base all over the country at one time!
  • I like how easy it is to set up and run webinars. The things that should be automated are and things that should have a person control them are set up that way!
  • I absolutely love the data that is tracked and provided to me. I can see who was paying attention and who is not.
  • Allowing me to customize the invitations and landing page is a great addition. The new channel feature that works with the recorded webinars is a great touch as well.
  • The biggest issue I have is with the question box vs. chat box. The attendees don't all seem to understand how to ask a question. I think that should be made very clear.
  • The record webinar button should be integrated into the start webinar button so that I can start the recording at the same time I start the webinar.
  • Instead of simply x'ing out of the webinar to close it, Citrix should add a button for the organizer to end the webinar right from the dashboard.
It is well suited for webinars with small to large amounts of attendees that do not need a lot of interaction with the presentation. When you begin to allow too much interaction it starts to become a bit cumbersome and unorganized especially with large groups. Allowing anything but a small group to be unmuted really can cause issues with people talking over each other or background noises.

We primarily use GoToWebinar for new business. The solution allows us to reach prospects as well as clients all over the country. Our presentations are informative and allow us to showcase our expertise within our industry and why they need our services. Our presentations are primarily educational for the attendees with a very soft sell of our services.
  • The automated e-mail to registrants. This e-mail allows the registrants to add the webinar to their calendar in a very seamless fashion and in the correct time zone, so there is no confusion and it increases the odds they will actually attend.
  • The recording of a webinar and the ability to edit it if need be and e-mail to 2 different segments (both the attendees and registrants who couldn't make the webinar). These e-mails go out to these groups separately, so it allows you to customize the message you send to each segment.
  • The reporting is another strength of GoToWebinar. It allows you to see how long the registrants were in the webinar, the answers they had for any polls you conducted during the webinar and their answers to any post-webinar survey questions you have. This actually covers three strengths in one. The reporting, the polls, which engages the attendees during the webinar and the survey, which allows you to learn and improve by getting valuable feedback.
  • One weakness is the customization and branding portion is somewhat limited. I'd like to be able to put a message on the registration page that differs from the automated e-mails that go out.
  • When you send out a webinar recording to someone not already registered after the webinar, the link they click on is basically a registration page, and once they register the video will display, which is fine, I just wish it could be a little more clear, it just seemed a little odd to me, I think the template could be cleaned up a bit here, perhaps the video embedded on the initial page and they register on that page for it to play, I'm not sure what the answer is here.
  • The current post webinar survey is only displayed on a users screen after the webinar. I think it would be nice to add a feature where you can send a link to people to after the fact to ask them to fill out the survey once you look at the report and see who didn't fill it out. I found a work around for this, but I think it would be a nice feature to auto generate a survey link that you can send out in personal e-mail, similar to the registration link.
I think this solution is well suited for someone who wants or has clients that are in different areas of the country. It cuts down on travel time and allows you to introduce your self and position yourself as an expert. I think GoToWebinar is not well suited to replace a meeting or presentation that needs to have the personal touch of being there in person to win a piece of business or face time to keep a relationship strong.

2 Main Purposes:
1. Ongoing Training for Current Customers
2. Supplier Training for Specific Requests for Proposals
It is being used across our Success team to provide training and webinars.
This solves the problem of providing us with sign up/registration/anonymity for larger, more formal web conferences. We can eliminate duplicate training sessions which drive efficiency while still keeping our users well informed on the product.
  • Anonymity control during meetins
  • Easy sign up
  • Attendance Monitoring
  • VOIP is strong relative to other web conferences I've been on.
  • Notifications of questions and hand raises.
  • UI in the Desktop App is out-dated
  • Better sign up page styling.
Well suited for formal meetings across wide audiences.
Less well suited for easy, less formal meetings and webinars

Our company's Marketing and Customer Success teams use GoToWebinar multiple times per month to host various webinars for our current and potential customers, as well as certain webinars held for specific customer's vendors. GTW enables us to market our product to prospects, as well as to educate our current customers. Personally, I host monthly training webinars for our customers to retrain on existing features, showcase new features, and interact with customers who have questions. One of the best perks of using GTW for our training webinars is that we can record each of these sessions, enabling us to quickly and easily update our training material on a monthly basis, and providing us with a fantastic recording that we can send to any customers who may have been unable to attend - they love it!
  • Enables us to record training sessions that we can share with our customers anywhere, at any time
  • Provides a polling platform so we can ask our customers what they'd like to see next, which helps to drive our training sessions moving forward
  • Creates an anonymous space, so we can train our customer's vendors without sacrificing the competitive bidding environment that our customers need
  • Easy and quick to use, so anyone on our team can jump in to help at any time with less than 5 minutes of "trianing"
  • Private pop-up notifications when questions are received by attendees. I sometimes miss new questions if I'm viewing the attendee list
  • Allow us to schedule a similarly themed webinar for months at a time, without all having to be listed on one landing page
  • Enable panelists to answer questions, start polls, etc. - give panelists more flexibility
I love using GoToWebinar! It has been a perfect training tool for our Customer Success team. Plus, our Marketing and CS teams have been able to host GTWs together to showcase and train our customers on new features, quickly and easily. Because GTW enables attendees to ask questions, we've been able to really dive into training sessions with multiple customers at once, and then walk away with a recording that we can share with ALL customers. Incredible training tool.
